Top Principles of Blogging for Money - Part II - Why Name the Blog Right ?

Some readers wrote back saying I was harsh in my Part I cajoling my statement that Money can not be made by Blogging.

They said, there are so many web sites going around saying you can make tones of money. And here you are talking stupid that money making is not easy through blogging.

With due apologies if I have hurt your initial enthuse, I would still to continue on my argument why its not easy. As I said earlier its simple. Provided you are ethical in your blogging activity. Ensuring that your main activity is Blogging and NOT hosting site for some advertisement to appear just because your site is with great key words.

Please keep in your mind always that it’s YOUR BLOG that is the platform. Its YOUR BLOG that is the feeder for the Advertisements and NOT vice verse. This is the reason why I emphasize more on your blog content rather than some junk that goes into that finally it becomes a flop show.

Please keep in mind that Advertisements come and go. Products come and go. For those products the advertisements that come fade out over a period of time. But YOUR BLOG is eternal at least in time span of say 20 years! (Do not get panic oh- such a long term plan ! – Yes to be consistent you should have long term plan!)

Further its also necessary for you to decide how long you want to be in your business?

If you DO NOT have long term commitment kindly DO NOT read further in this Blog. This will be useless to you. Reason again simple. What I explain here are for long term commitment and working hard stuff. If these two are not of your ilk, please go ahead to browse some other sites that talk much and finally you end up as a what ever you are to be.

OK, let me come back to my Part II.

In part I we learnt that it’s good to think, think, think before you venturing on to launch your blog subject. Having decided the subject (as said earlier this subject of your great choice and you are aware of what to write) now concentrate on where to launch your site.

I give below a few names of sites that allow you to host your blogs.

Now decide on the site where you want to launch your site. Hint Obviously be associated with a major partner for the very simple reason that they have wider visibility and vision.

Having decided just join that great site and now a days these sites to joining steps just like 1,2,3 and you are done.

OK. Now you need to name your Baby – I mean Blog!

How do we name the Baby? We take a lot of care in naming our Baby. Don’t we?
We refer to so many Baby Naming Books. We refer to our family members advises, friends inspirations and we think day and night that the child is named well that he is called right by all with love and affection.

Similarly take lot of thinking to decide on your Blog Name. It’s the Name that is catchy, that is readable, that is plain, that is not lengthy, that is attractive, that enthuses, that gives a start to read, that tells in nutshell whats the blog is about, and remember that is the starting point for the Life of your Baby Blog!

So having decided name also you need to decide on the URL. (The http://www/. name) ! It’s better to keep that name too simple that people who want to get your website need not type too much. !

For your understanding I explain why I named my baby AishWorth.
My baby or my blog is related to Blogging and related topic of how to be consistent and make wealth. You may be by now aware of that I talk straight from the Heart that my concern is NOT money.

Its about long term commitment. Long term Plan. Aish in the world’s oldest language Sanskrit means some thing more than money,wealth,health- it’s the pervasive conceptual idea of all that is good and brings you the fortune. !

Similarly the word “Worth” is a beautiful word of the contemporary great language of English. It is used in many different contexts in different meanings.
Example If you are worth your salt is one phrase. He is Worthy Person praise. So worth is much more than money. So I coined this word of AISHWORTH- Simply put Wealth Worth !

So it is the worthy thing called Wealth that is essential for your all round growth ! Hence you find my blog too by the same name.

So think about your site name. Take time. Till I come back with next topic. What the Title should explain about in brief about is quintessence of that site.
